Annual Argyle Christmas Tree Lighting Festival

The Annual Argyle Christmas Tree Lighting is the longest-running community event in Argyle, starting in the very early years, where the tree was put on a concrete slab in front of the now CVS, and a community gathering was held at the Firehouse (now Earls 377) . Keep Argyle Beautiful eventually took over the planning and organization of the event in 2014 where the lighting moved to Town Hall, The festival is always the first Saturday of December from 4 to 6 pm. The location of the festival now rotates every 2 years to a prominent location within the community, allowing residents and visitors to Argyle the chance to view the illuminated tree. The festival includes: entertainment, the big arrival of Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and their elves, and all types of free refreshments, crafts, and activities for all ages. There is no fee to attend or to set up a table booth at the festival. Organizations have the opportunity to become a paid sponsor of the event and be featured on the event poster.
