Annual KAB Iris Show

Did you know that the Iris flowers are commonly found growing in our area? Irises are a tame, non-native flower that grows without any additional care, spreads naturally, and comes in a variety of colors and sizes. Irises play an important part in Argyle's history, with them being a nod to our settlers’ history, found in local cemeteries from long ago or on lots where homesteads once stood. Throughout the years, volunteers have divided residents’ Iris patches and given away flowers at a variety of community events. Keep Argyle Beautiful brings attention to the lovely spring blooms with Iris giveaways to encourage residents to plant them on their property and at local businesses. In 2022, the first-ever Keep Argyle Beautiful Iris Show was held, giving prizes to adult and youth division winners, and continues to today.
